TINA BROWN EDUCATION OUTREACH
Bruce Wood Dance’s education program is named in honor of Annabelle “Tina” Brown, who was a passionate, thoughtful, and generous patron. We are very grateful for her meaningful support. In 2017, Bruce Wood Dance served approximately 15,900 people. Jillyn Bryant, our education outreach coordinator, directs our free programming for nonprofit social service agencies and educational institutions through collaborations with:
- Twice-a-week classes at Nexus Recovery Center;
- Once-a-week class at Vogel Alcove;
- Four-week fall and spring programs at International Rescue Committee Dallas;
- Big Thought Red Bird SOARS Summer Program;
- Resource Center;
- Girl Scouts of North East Texas;
- Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant;
- E.C. Conrad High School;
- Raul Quintanilla Middle School; and
- Booker T. Washington HSPVA.

the power of dance as a tool for entertainment, enrichment, and healing. Fortified by Bruce Wood®’s aesthetic,
Bruce Wood Dance produces and maintains his repertoire, commissions new work by resident choreographers and
guest dance–makers, and contributes to the quality of life in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, and across the nation.
