providing them with an authentic and memorable

BRUCE WOOD DANCE RELIEF FUND

Your support is so meaningful during this challenging time. The COVID–19 pandemic has had a profound impact, altering the way we operate as individuals and organizations.

You are a valued member of our Bruce Wood Dance family. Your generosity has made it possible for us to serve our community with high caliber, emotionally engaging programming that entertains, enriches, and heals. You have been integral to our growth and achievements. The 2020–2021 season marks our 11th year.

We hope for your continued support while our normal revenue from performances and grants is on pause. Join us in reaching our goal of $200,000. Your generous contribution to our Forward Together campaign will carry us through the remainder of 2020. We have good news! An individual donor has pledged to match each dollar contributed to Forward Together up to $100,000. Our highest priority is responsible stewardship of your investment. Your meaningful donation will help maintain our programs, dancer and staff employment, and secure the future of Bruce Wood Dance.

With a priority on health and safety, our company returns to operations on August 10 in the studio and also remotely.

The 2020-2021 Season Includes:

  • Outdoor performance at Dallas Symphony’s SOLUNA: Passport to the Park on September 19 at 4:00 PM at Klyde Warren Park;
  • Commission of choreographer Adam W. McKinney to create a site–specific dance film in Dallas on racial justice;
  • Streaming of new works made for video by the company;
  • Livestreaming of salons and workshops;
  • Commission of choreographer Omár Roman de Jesús, known for his vibrant and socially conscious Latinx style;
  • Lar Lubovitch residency with guest artist Katarzyna Skarpetowska restaging Elemental Brubeck and offering master classes; and
  • Performances at Moody Performance Hall in Spring/Summer 2021 (TBA).

Your investment in the Forward Together campaign is impactful. Dance is critically important now to express, uplift, energize, comfort, inspire, rejuvenate, and unite us.
